木心先生(1927-2011)， 一位坚毅的艺术创作者，真正的世界级艺术家。於去(2011)年12月21日过世了。木心被认为是二十世纪非常原创与极为重要的艺术家之一，然而尚有很多数的民众不知道他。木心最大的仰慕者与支持者-知名艺术家与评论人陈丹青，认为木心是他的教师也是精神导师。他们认识了25年也在同一年代住在纽约市皇后区。 而曾获三次奥斯卡纪录影片提名的导演Francisco Bello 与 Tim Sternberg在2010年12月曾在2010年间前往中国数次访问木心，制作了记录片 「木心：来自地下的笔记」（Notes from the Underground），这一个访问见证了最后期的木心。
Plot Summary:Throughout Maoist China's turbulent history, the artist Mu Xin sacrificed everything to create his art. While illegally imprisoned during the Cultural Revolution, he risked his life writing and painting while in solitary confinement. It was through his artistic faith that he survived this period, while so many others did not. He has avoided speaking of the horrors he has seen - until now. A documentary portrait by OSCAR® Nominated filmmakers Tim Sternberg and Francisco Bello, "DREAMING AGAINST THE WORLD" will expose audiences to one of the most original, yet largely unknown artists of the past century.
