Plot Summary:Beppe Musolino is falsely accused of murder. He is tried, found guilty, and imprisoned. Unexpectedly he escapes from prison and to survive he starts living like an outlaw brigand. He falls in love with village girl Mara, who helps him hunt down all of the witnesses who lied about him at the trial.
