The whole 60 minutes, it makes you become aware, of the stillness, of everything that is still & of every motion that is motionless, & at the same time, you become even more aware of those you can't see, those motions behind the wall, outside the street, in the elevator, down at the lobby. Just by inviting you to stare at one picture over and over, it made me forget everything about the embrassment that silence gave me at first and then become part it -
The stillness reminds me nothing, nothing is actually still.
Just little by little I begin to see particles, I begin to see THROUGH things. I have always, wanted to be simultaneously in one place & another, & in Hotel Monterey I can be simply anywhere.
And light too, I see. You have to look closely, at the light. Step forward, backward, & look carefully, the change of lights, the pattern of lights -- 只有黑暗知道光的重量。
At some point the light gave me fear -- as if it is time, and yes it is with time, it tells and foretells time. 黑白深浅，就带走城市的一部分 —— 白色的天空，错觉I have broken out of everything and now, infinity.
The sharp bars of the fences penetrate the city, & I from behind the bar start to imagine who I am -- a dancing woman waiting for the dawn yet the dawn doesn't wait for me. I hate asymmetry but light, light -- I want to run with you across every possible wall, doors without exits.
I can literally watch this over and over and over. so good, so good.
